Accounts of Sir John Leveson relating to the raising of troops for service in the Netherlands, 8 January 1598
This account gives an example of Leveson’s work mustering men for the various military campaigns that were underway during his time as Deputy Lieutenant of Kent. It also shows his role liasing with the Constables in the hundreds in Kent to ensure that the troops are paid for and equipped to fight in the campaigns.
