War Memorial at Alleynes Grammar School, Uttoxeter image link At 11 o'clock in the morning wreaths of poppies are laid at the Cenotaph in London and at War Memorials across the country. This ceremony marks the anniversary of the Armistice which was signed to mark the end of the First World War in 1918.
